This could be you!

Curious about grad school? I’m so glad you’re here!

It’s okay if you’re not a “math person”

Worried about the GREs? I understand! I grew up knowing one thing about algebra: it made my sister cry. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I actually enjoyed math. I was never considered a “math person” though; I had to really work to understand it. This gives me a blend of passion for math and compassion for people who fear it! I have tutored from algebra to calculus, and taught full-time at the college level for several years. My Ph.D. is in (what else!) Mathematics Education. I’ve had several requests for help preparing for the GREs, which gave me the idea to set up this website.

It’s okay if you can only go to grad school part-time

I wanted to earn a doctorate but couldn’t feasibly quit my job (read: paycheck), so I went part-time to make it work. Along the way I discovered there are many advantages to going to graduate school part-time.

After a few friends asked me about going to grad-school while working, I realized there were no resources just for people like us: people who want to fit a part-time grad program into our full-time lives. So I’m creating one!

My goal for you

Hopefully this website will encourage you to pursue the degree you want. I am rooting for you!
