Two unknowns in two inequalities
We will use the two clues we are given to solve the problem.
One unknown in two inequalities
Think of problems like these as bookends. One inequality gives you one end, the other inequality gives you the other end, and in between them is the solution. Let’s give it a try!
What number line could be the solution?
You may notice the only number on the numbers lines is zero. Are these people crazy? you may be thinking. Who can solve a math problem without numbers? You can!
Inequalities: Choosing the correct value
Another type of GRE problem asks you to choose which value the unknown could be worth.
Inequalities (Lesson 2)
You’re back! Ready for some more math? Let’s go. I highly recommend you have some paper and a pencil, scrap paper will do!
Let’s start tackling inequalities. A repeat of the standard directions:
Inequalities (Lesson 1)
Here is the first lesson of GRE math for people who do not consider themselves “math people”. We are going to focus on the instructions for inequalities. The instructions are written as if authored by someone without a soul.
